· The Rancho Sienna Backyard

Rancho Sienna Backyards, Finally Finished.

Rancho Sienna is one of Liberty Hill's most popular master-planned communities — a Newland-developed neighborhood of roughly 1,400 homes spread across more than 500 acres off Ronald Reagan Boulevard, with nearly 100 acres of parks, trails, and greenbelts woven through it. Builders like Perry Homes, Lennar, Sitterle, Tri Pointe, Pulte, and D.R. Horton have filled it in since it opened around 2014, and it's anchored by The Sienna House amenity center and an on-site Liberty Hill ISD elementary. The homes are newer and move-in ready — but the backyards usually aren't.

We've built across Liberty Hill since 2018, and Rancho Sienna's ground is classic Hill Country: thin, rocky soil over caliche and limestone, with rolling grades that move water fast. Post holes, footings, and drainage trenches here take real equipment — and on many lots a great backyard starts with grading and drainage, not just a slab. Done right, that rock underneath becomes a rock-solid base for everything we build on top of it.

Whether you're staring at a bare builder slab, want a covered outdoor kitchen and turf for the kids, or need drainage sorted before you finish the yard, you work with one team from first sketch to final walkthrough — no subcontractor handed the job halfway through.

· Why CTX

Why Rancho Sienna Homeowners Choose CTX.

Finish the Whole Yard at Once

Newer Rancho Sienna homes come with a bare slab and a blank yard. We design patio, kitchen, turf, lighting, and drainage as one plan — not a series of disconnected add-ons.

Drainage Before Hardscape

On Rancho Sienna's rolling grades, water moves fast. We grade and install drainage first so runoff heads for the greenbelts and trails, not your foundation.

Built for Rocky Ground

Thin soil over caliche and limestone takes real excavation. We dig to solid rock and compact a proper base so hardscape and structures stay level for good.

Design-Build Since 2018

Hundreds of Central Texas outdoor spaces designed and installed — one local team, one point of contact, start to finish.

That's the most common Rancho Sienna project we do. Builders here — Perry, Lennar, Sitterle, Pulte, and others — hand over the house with a basic patio and a blank yard. We start with how you actually want to use the space, then design the whole thing: covered patio, outdoor kitchen, turf, lighting, and drainage, built as one plan instead of piecemeal.
It makes the digging harder, not the result worse. This part of Liberty Hill is thin soil over caliche and limestone, so post holes, footings, and drainage trenches take real equipment. Once we reach that rock, it's a stable base — pergolas, patios, and walls set on it stay dead level for the long haul.
Plenty do. On the rolling grades here, water tends to sheet across the yard and pool against foundations and patios. We grade, install French drains and surface drains where needed, and route runoff toward the greenbelts and trails — so the yard stays dry and usable after a storm.
